The Honor House received a $25,000 grant from Thunderbirds Charities, the charitable giving arm of the Thunderbirds.
The purpose of the grant is to focus on helping our female Veterans by providing a lifelong package of transitional and transformative modalities and resources, for Veterans and their families. Money will be allocated to the Honor House program, “Operation Healing Journey”, which will now hire a female Veteran Reintegration Specialist to work directly with the female Veterans as they reintegrate back into society. Operation Healing Journey is designed to work in conjunction with regular doctor and counseling visits. Veterans are able to choose which types of
therapy to participate in and when and where they seek treatment, typically within 5 to 10 miles of their homes. Download the Press Release below for more details.
